The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club respects the privacy of your personal information and is committed to complying with all relevant and current privacy legislation. The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience, and is bound by the Privacy Act 1988, which sets out a number of principles concerning the privacy of individuals.

Why do we collect personal information?
We collect your personal information for the primary purpose of providing services to our members. For access to the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club customer support features, you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This may include but is not limited to providing us with a unique username and password, or providing us with sensitive information in the recovery of your lost password.
What information do we collect?
When you register as a member or sponsor with the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club, we collect information such as your name, address, trading name, phone numbers and email addresses. If you make an enquiry about our products, we collect your basic contact details such as your name, contact number and email address so that we can provide you with the information or advice you have requested. We then remove this information from our database unless you have requested to become a member or sponsor of the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club. The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club only sends regular communications to those in our database who are opted in members or sponsors.
What information is not collected and stored by the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club?
The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club never views or stores any of your payment information when you make payments for memberships, sponsorships and/or events online. Your payment information is handled by payment gateways that store and encrypt your payment data.
What payment gateways does the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club use for processing payments?
The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club uses Stripe via the Member Jungle Payment Gateway, to process online credit card payments. The Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club also accepts payment via EFT direct to our bank account and via cheque to our mailing address.
How we collect information
In the course of operating and managing our organisation and our website, we collect personal information. Some examples of occasions when we collect personal information from you include:
Becoming a member or renewing your membership;
Becoming a sponsor or renewing your sponsorship; and
Attending a Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club event.

We use the personal information you submit to us to provide you with the service/s you request. When we collect personal information we will, where appropriate and possible, explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it. Under no circumstances do we release your information to third party sources.
When you purchase something from Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us, such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. Where applicable, with your permission we may send you emails about our website, new products and other updates.

We will only do this where you have consented, where we are permitted or required by law or it is in the interests of the public safety to do so. We are committed to making your experience with the Lorne Aquatic and Angling Club as easy and as safe as possible. As well as credit card facilities, we also offer the option to make a direct bank transfer or send a cheque to us for any relevant payments.
